Patterns
Patterns repeat source features without duplicating the modelling work. The pattern feature references its source, so editing the original sketch, extrude, hole, or modifier updates every patterned instance on regeneration.
Linear pattern
A linear pattern repeats a source feature along a direction vector. Configure the count and spacing to make rows of holes, vents, ribs, or slots. Use clear source names so the feature tree stays readable once the pattern grows.
Polar pattern
A polar pattern repeats around an axis and angle. It is the right fit for bolt circles, radial vents, spokes, and repeated teeth. Axis references can come from base axes or datum axes depending on how the feature was authored.
Mirror
Mirror copies a source feature across a plane. Use it for left/right symmetry and paired details. If the design is fundamentally symmetric, model one side cleanly and mirror it rather than maintaining two independent feature branches.
Tips
Pattern features are best kept after the source feature they repeat. Avoid patterning very expensive boolean stacks more than necessary; the browser preview has guardrails for unusually heavy timelines, and the server render remains the source of truth.
